Sharp Canine Teeth – Japan
Although we often think of sharp teeth as only belonging to monsters, in Japan, many people believe fang-like teeth are attractive. Our canines – the teeth that sit between our incisors and molars – are usually visible when we smile, but sometimes they protrude more than usual.

Japanese people call these protruding teeth yaeba and associate them with a youthful look. Even though many people use dental procedures to make their canines less sharp, Japanese girls are putting caps on their teeth to make them bigger.
