Stairs are one of those things we don’t really pay attention to. We’re so used to seeing stairs everywhere we go and using them in our daily lives that we rarely stop and think about them—until we come across an unusual staircase. These people came across staircase designs that were out of the left field; they had to take a picture and share it on a dedicated online community, “Death Stairs.” Take a look to see some of the stairs that made it to the list and earned this unflattering title.
#1: An Indoor Waterfall
Some people like to add natural elements to their houses to make them feel less urban and give them a more rural, authentic vibe. We’re not sure this achieves this purpose, but some people like it, and to each their own.
This staircase takes it to the next level, though. It’s meant to look like an enchanted waterfall (we think), but why would you have a waterfall inside your house? That doesn’t make any sense. And isn’t there supposed to be a lake at the end of the staircase?
