Ethiopia is located in eastern Africa, west of Somalia, with a population of well over 100 million people and speaks about ninety languages. Ethiopia is the second most populous country in African continent.

Ethiopia has the most UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Africa, and some of their cities are beauty to behold.  These are the top cities you will like to visit whenever you wishes to travel  to the country,  see the list of top 5 most beautiful cities in Ethiopia.

5. Adama City

Adama city is a busy transportation center and lies approximately 100 km southeast of Addis Ababa. The town had a total population of 127,842 and and the city is a common weekend destination for resident of Addis Ababa .

Adama famous restaurants specializes in serving roasted beef dishes and their hotels are beautiful and affordable, you can also climb the city beautiful surrounding mountains.

4. Dire Dawa

Dire Dawa is in the eastern part of Ethiopia and a major hub for many ethnic groups in the Country especially the Afar, Oromo, and Somali. , the city is home to several markets which is always busy. The city is connected to Addis Ababa and the historical city of Harar by road

It has been the gateway for most of the goods sold in places such as Taiwan. In the afternoon, in many places, Dire Dawans sit in circle and consume chat, with several cups of coffee.

3. Axum

Axum is a delight to archaeologists, with ruins of ancient tombs and is the earliest Christian kingdom in the world. Axum was the center of the marine trading power known as the Aksumite Kingdom and is the spiritual heart of the country.

There is a place called the Queen of Sheba’s Bath Reservoir because their local legend claims the Queen of Sheba lived in the town. Other attractions in Axum include archaeological and ethnographic museums and the Lioness of Gobedra rock art.

2. Mekelle

Mekelle is the largest city in northern Ethiopia, the city is an economic, cultural, and political hub in the Northern region of the country. Before the construction of the palace by Emperor Yohannes IV in 1872, Mekelle used to be a group of villages scattered alongside a river and slopes.

Mekelle is one of Ethiopia’s principal economic and educational centers, Mekelle is considered a special Zone, which is divided into seven sub-cities.Traditional out-door coffee houses have become common in Mekelle and serve numerous customers every day of the week.

1. Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa is a city populated with different region of Ethiopia, is a buzzing hub of economic in the country.  Most of the people in the city are engaged in trade and commerce, the city have Various luxury services.
