27 TV Characters Who Set a Terrible Example as Friends

One of the best parts of great TV is watching how characters interact and relate to one another. There are many iconic friendships we’ve seen on TV over the years, but how many of them are an example of what good friends look like? We’ve compiled a list of characters we love, but who might not have been good role models as far as friendship goes. While we still adore them, you’ll have to decide whether their shortcomings are dealbreakers when it comes to their personalities.

#1: Ross Geller (Friends)

Starting our list, we have Ross from Friends. He’s the geeky paleontologist, Monica’s older brother, and a key part of the Friends group. He wasn’t always a great friend, especially when he became jealous of Rachel’s career success and often lacked accountability for his actions. We love him despite his flaws, and we know he has a good heart and would do anything for those he loves.
