A slimy surprise
Mold has got to be one of the most mysterious things on our planet. Based on what science tells us, mold is alive, despite not looking like any other creature we’ve seen. It absolutely loved humid areas, which is super-gross since many places at home are naturally humid.
The owner was certain that this web-like thing growing in a jar was mold, but it looked nothing like any mold spore they’ve seen before. After uploading the image onto the internet, they received a pretty comprehensive answer to their query. Apparently, this is slime mold, a brainless organism that usually latches onto forest floors and trees.
