Fool’s gold
If we’re being honest, rocks and minerals aren’t the most exciting things on the planet. In fact, we’re trying to wrap our brains about how people can make a living just by identifying rocks. While we’re on the subject, maybe someone can tell us the difference between a rock and a stone.
However, even we have to admit that this is a pretty neat find. Inside of a gray appears to be a block of solid gold! We may not know a lot about minerals, but we know that gold is worth more than a pretty penny! Sadly, this is pyrite, also known as fool’s gold. It grows in blocky formations, which explains its square shape in this picture.
