Look, the English language can be pretty confusing. There are a lot of grammar rules that don’t seem to make any sense, and yet we must learn to follow them.

That said, just because some grammar rules seem random and strange doesn’t mean you get a free pass for making grammar mistakes. This person can overlook many things when it comes to grammar, but they can’t overlook people who confuse their/there/they’re, and your/you’re. We’re not sure why, but those seem to be the most prevalent mistakes out there.
