#2: Desmond Howard
I’ve never been particularly envious of special teams players. They’re just as essential as linebackers, quarterbacks, or wide receivers, but they rarely get as much time on the field or on our screens. Their responsibility is more specific but no less consequential when it comes to guaranteeing their team’s victory.
That’s why it’s so special for a special team player to receive a Super Bowl MVP. What a win for Desmond Howard, beating the odds to gain recognition for his outstanding performance. It might have been his extraordinary 99-yard kickoff return touchdown, but it could also be due to his amazing eyes!
