#26: Keep It Sealed
This household rule should be more commonplace because it is an example of good hygiene, plain and simple. This person shared that before someone flushes the toilet, the seat and the lid must be down. There is absolutely no open-lid flushing allowed in this house, for good reason.

Just think about it. Flushing the toilet with the lid open is gross! When you flush, water and germ particles get lifted out of the toilet bowl and into the air. The force of the flush causes this to happen. Those particles float around the bathroom and land on the floor, door handles, and even your toothbrush. So, yeah, close the lid before you flush. You’ll thank us later.
