Detention is, by far, one of the worst punishments that you can get as a child. Nobody wants to spend more time in school than they need to! So, having this punishment lingering over as a consequence is usually enough to get most kids to behave. However, some students like to take things to the next level without ever worrying about the consequences. Originally, many people thought that anybody could play the drums, and it was a way for less intelligent people to play music. But, according to PolyMic, the opposite is true – people who can play the drums are actually very intelligent and excellent at solving problems. They even influence people around them.
People who play drums have the added benefit of passing on these problem-solving skills to those around them. However, I strongly feel that the Reddit user from this story wasn’t quite as smart as other drum players. Perhaps it’s because they used chicken drumsticks instead of regular ones – they wouldn’t sound good.
