For better or worse, America has always been, and always will be, a hot topic of conversation on the Internet. As you might expect, people love to complain about the U.S. and Americans. Still, much to our surprise, many people also talk about what non-Americans love about the country and our culture. Take some time away from the negativity on the Internet and check out the things people like most about our country.
#1: Doing a Good Job Deserves Praise
In America, solid dad jokes are a hot commodity. Dads are known for saying, “Good job, buddy!” Even the most deadbeat dads can say it, and they still sound like the father of the year. So, we can’t say we’re surprised by Hannah’s tweet, which gave her commentary on “good job, buddy.” It’s also often portrayed in American TV shows and films.
Well, Hannah finds it hilarious, hence the emoji. We can see where she’s coming from on this one. Not only does the phrase “good job, buddy” have a dad’s sense of humor, but it’s endearing and super encouraging! What’s funnier is that Americans use it to praise their children for the smallest things. We wish our bosses would give us a “good job, buddy” now and then.
