Kids these days have no idea how cool we once were. The 1970s, 80s, and 90s were decades full of weird and wonderful slang words. #1: Time to Bounce
How many times have you heard someone say, “Let’s bounce?” Probably a lot, right? Depending on what generation you belong to, this can either make sense or make you wonder why someone would want to literally bounce up and down with you. What in the world are they talking about?
“Bounce,” as in leaving and going somewhere else, is pretty common slang these days. Even if it’s not as popular as it once was, most of us old-timers know what it means. We’re not sure if the word bounce is a slang word for the younger generations, though. Maybe we should try to incorporate it into our everyday speech and see if we get any confused looks from the kids.
