There is no denying that the world is evolving much faster than we realize, so much so that we no longer use or do certain things that were once considered necessities. The Baby Boomer generation is notorious for certain behaviors, and while the world loves to laugh at these behaviors, not all of their practices are useless… Without realizing it, many of these things have ceased or will cease to exist in the coming years. Many will be glad to see some of these things go, but we’re certain others will be missed.
#1: Smoking Everywhere, All the Time
While many people worldwide smoke, the way this once very popular activity once looked is now very different. Not only have there been intense public campaigns in different countries to stifle the sale of cigarettes, but governments and councils have also heavily restricted where smoking is permitted.
Going from being able to smoke anywhere, anytime, regardless of the people around you, to being told you can’t smoke in public spaces created a real shift in smoking culture. Not to mention that people smoking cigarettes in the U.S. has gone down from 42% to 14% since 1965.
