17. Get Me Out of Here
Veijo Rönkkönen, a renowned yet reclusive Finnish folk artist, chose his own backyard over public galleries to display his eerie artistry. He crafted nearly 500 concrete figures, creating a personal, open-air sculpture garden. The most prominent feature is a group of 200 statues, each frozen in a unique yoga pose, many resembling self-portraits.

However, it’s the more sinister sculptures that truly unsettle visitors: a nun stealthily positioned behind bushes, a cloaked figure with elongated arms, all sporting malevolent grins with real human teeth and hauntingly dark eyes. Rönkkönen’s garden offers a nightmarish visual feast.
