What on earth could that be for? That was the exclaimations of Osun state chapter of Peopple Democratic Party (PDP). As the Osun State government gets set for the inauguration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for a second term in office.
The state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, raised the alarm over what it called “bogus budget” for the inauguration, condemning it as a monumental waste.
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola will be inaugurated for another term on Thursday, November 27.
In a statement issued in Osogbo by Prince Diran Odeyemi, the PDP’s spokesperson, condemned the budget of N700 million for the swearing-in ceremony, saying it is “a waste amid hunger by workers, who have not been paid their salaries in the last three months. This tells much about the kind of leaders holding the reigns in Osun at the moment.”
The party also reminded the governor of what he said in November, 2012, while addressing some bankers that “I can pay workers salaries every 25th day of the month without monthly allocation from the federation account and I will not owe them a penny”, regretting that just two years after, the governor has found it hard paying workers, even when statutory allocations due to the state are still being given to him.
Playing hardcore politics you may say? Well I don’t know because a real politician is one who has the ability to foretell what would happen tomorrow and at same time to explain to the people why it didn’t take place as previously hoped.

Aregbesola I have always loved your reign but truth be told that is quiet a huge amount to waste on ceremony, cut down the expense and use the rest for something alot better than party
