#18: Digital Camcorders

I have distinct memories as a young kid in the 90s of my Dad walking around with a digital camcorder, especially during the holidays. We recorded everything back then just like we do now with our phones. Camcorders were especially popular in the 80s and 90s when they became less expensive and innovative. In 1995 manufacturers released Digital Video which was the bar-setter for other camcorders moving forward. Camcorders were discontinued in 2008 when smartphones and other types of video cameras took over the market.
