11. Storing peanut butter
Those of us who are trying to maintain a healthy diet know that natural peanut butter is the way to go – anything else has more sugar than peanut butter. However, you’ve probably noticed that after being left in the cupboard for some time, natural peanut butter loses its original texture and becomes less than appetizing.

After storing peanut butter in the cupboard, we usually open the jar to find a thick layer of oil on top of the solid peanut butter. The right way to store natural peanut butter is either in the fridge, or in the cupboard upside down. Placing the jar upside down will allow the oil to spread evenly in the jar, instead of form a layer at the top or bottom of the jar.
