Founded in 1976, Bennigan’s combined the Irish pub concept with casual dining. While they ruled in the ‘80s and ‘90s, they started to see a decline in the 2000s. You could find many restaurants like Bennigan’s, and they just didn’t do enough to make them stand out.

But like Steak and Ale, they’re making a comeback. Currently, there are 21 locations with more planned development. If you see one, give it a try. They have one of the best Monte Cristo sandwiches I’ve ever tried.
