Fire figures prominently in a surprising number of wedding legends, many of which have been passed down from generation to generation. Candles and flame-resistant materials are not always a good combination. In contrast to other tales about ring bearers, the protagonist of this one was able to carry the rings down the aisle without a hitch, but once their duties were done, they set the place ablaze.
If a small tray was able to topple over such a small table, then the table itself must have been relatively small. Imagine a circular table with a single shaky leg in the middle of it. It’s possible that this was a dining table, or the child might just have a lot of brute strength.
