Demi Moore, the ageless beauty who made us cry in Ghost and earned a huge fee for her role in Striptease had a difficult childhood. Her parents split up before she was born, and she was raised by her mother and stepfather, both of whom drank heavily. They moved more than 30 times by the time she turned 14. On top of that, she had to wear an eye patch and undergo two operations to correct her cross-eyed vision. It’s no wonder that she turned to drugs and alcohol but had to quit when she signed a contract that she would be drug-free in order to perform in the movie “St. Elmo’s Fire”.
