When you branch outside of your inner circle, you’ll find a world rife with interesting people, places, and things. Traveling is the best way to gain a greater appreciation for our planet and broaden your cultural horizons. It’s also a great way to meet new, interesting, and sometimes questionable people. These people shared online some of the strange sights they came across while traveling – whether they traveled miles for a promised destinations to be disappointed, seen something unexpected at the airport, and some didn’t even have to leave town – as they encountered these sightings on the subway. Luckily for us, they all shared it on social media.
Spanish People in Spain?
Did you know that when you travel to a country that’s foreign to you you’ll likely run into people who speak a different language? It’s common knowledge to most, but apparently not to this person who traveled to Spain. He complained, “There were too many Spanish people there. The receptionist spoke Spanish …”
“…the food was Spanish. No one told us that there would be so many foreigners.” Well, to them, you’re a foreigner. Ever considered that? The xenophobia radiating from this quote is shockingly pervasive. We get it, you loathe people from other countries. So, if you want to travel, go to countries that speak English? Traveling to Europe probably wasn’t the best choice.
