Separation from Sachs
Sadly, however, Bardot and Sachs’ love affair came to an end after only three years when they parted ways on October 1st, 1969. The spark that caused Bardot’s third marriage to fail began when her growing closeness with Patrick Gilles reignited the fire.
After the wedding, Bardot sold her engagement ring as a grand gesture, which was out of character for someone so wealthy. Despite what one may believe after reading this, Sachs and Bardot remained friends until his death in 2011 due to bad circumstances.
