#25: A Bad Cover Up
This is a trend that really should have ended long ago, and quite frankly, it’s amazing that it lasted this long. Somehow, wall-to-wall carpets became one of the ultimate trends across the Western world and had all of us covering up beautiful wood floors with the equivalent of cat fur.

Don’t get me wrong, I do like the feeling of a nice fluffy surface under my feet, but it’s not worth the ugliness. Not to mention the never-ending accumulation of dust and dirt that can turn a white carpet into a black one and have us all breathing in various germs and diseases. Those carpets can go by with the Boomers, please.
