A Design Choice
You might be wondering what’s this device you’re looking at. This person had the same thought, and he decided to share this photo online to get some answers. They look like switches – only they aren’t. Or are they? This person isn’t convinced. He knows they don’t operate anything in his house, but he’s convinced they must be controlling the lights (or something else) somewhere.

As it turns out, these aren’t light switches at all. The answer is much more simple; this is a coat hanger. It’s just a pretty unusual (and confusing) design choice for a coat hanger. Why is the third one facing the opposite direction? It seems like you can’t really hang anything on this one. Once again, just an unusual design choice.
