As we continue our rapid path into the future, the Twentieth Century seems to be getting ever farther away, as do the behaviors and practices that characterized it. Back in the days of the payphone, before everyone had a smartphone in their pocket, there were certain etiquette rules that came along with using a payphone and certain advantages. For example, if you didn’t have a quarter to make the call, you could call collect, meaning the person you called had to pay for the call.
