Don’t you hate it when people just assume your name? David, the original texter, assumed he was speaking to Jess when he offered his praise via text message. The recipient responded in the kindest way possible, while also informing them that they were not Jess.
What did David do? He didn’t back off—he assumed that he was speaking to Brooke. The silly thing is that this person had no idea who David, Jess, or Brooke was. They probably just left David on read after that and ignored any further texts. That’s what we would’ve done.
