#6: Can’t Help, I’m on My Break
We all deserve a break during long shifts, retail workers included. If you ask customers, though, they expect all the workers at a store or restaurant to be always available. If there’s one thing retail workers hate (well, there are many things, but let us have this one), it’s being interrupted by customers or coworkers on their break.

The break is the only time they have to take a few minutes to themselves and recharge. The last thing they want to do on their break is work. And helping customers, even just answering one small question, is working. So, you can see why the second their break starts, they’ll be out of the store faster than Usain Bolt.
