Tally the Pot
This is quite nasty and nutsy. According to the image below, this person’s roommate left a dirty pot sitting on the stove for five consecutive days. How do we know this? A dry-erase board that boasted a tally and a message stating, “Number of days that dirty pot has been sitting on that stove.”
Now, it’s not abnormal to leave a pot soaking overnight in soap and warm water. That helps free whatever tricky substances are clinging to the pot’s surface. Then, you can attempt to thoroughly clean it the following day. We’ve also postponed washing the dishes for a day or two, or even three. However, letting it sit in its filth out in the open on a stove for five days – and counting – is just inconsiderate.
