Emergency exit
Having an emergency door with a lock on it seems like a complete waste of time. Logic just flew right out the window. The point of an emergency exit is for people to be able to flee the scene when an emergency takes place, and it’s the least appropriate time to start looking for the key, or wait for the person who has the key.
Even if everyone who works in this building have their own key, looking for it would take long enough for disaster to strike. We can laugh about it, because we’re not there, but we also feel bad for the people who work in this building and have to deal with this nonsense.
