You just need to ask Ross Geller to see how easily a simple slip of the tongue may result in a bad situation when it comes to weddings. Even though it was evident what had occurred, several members in the audience still gave each other perplexed sideways glances. They took a second look at what had transpired after an anxious bride made an honest mistake.
Was the bride able to laugh it off and confirm that she had heard correctly what she had been told? Did the priest act as if nothing had happened and continue his duties? Was the groom putting off an offensive odor? We don’t know, but it would be a fascinating narrative point for a depressing episode of a sitcom, which is the least we can say about it.
