We’re so used to seeing buildings everywhere around us that we don’t pay much attention to them. They all pretty much look the same, anyway. That’s why, when you spot a building that stands out in the crowd, it can be quite eye-catching. These buildings aren’t just here to serve as places for us to live or work or shop; they’re here to make a statement.
#1: Not So A-maze-ing
The intricacies of this building give me a headache. It holds the record for largest vertical maze (yes, that’s a thing) and is called the Al Rostamani Maze Tower. Each part is covered in thousands of LED lights with a wide variety of colors, and it looks most daunting when it’s been set to red.
Half of the building provides office space, and the other half is residences with a garden and pool floor. It’s located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which boasts unique buildings and skyscrapers, and is 689 feet tall. I keep imagining how terrifying it would be to try to traverse the maze from top to bottom. That drop looks deadly!
