There are many TV shows that have faded into oblivion over the years. That’s the nature of a TV show: Usually, it’s a representation of its time, and very few TV shows manage the last the test of time and stay relevant for decades. But that doesn’t mean these shows weren’t good. We’re here today to explore nostalgic shows from past decades that used to be huge, but people have mostly forgotten about. Did you watch any of these shows back in the day? Which one deserves a comeback or a reboot in your opinion?
#1: The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis (1959-1963)
The age-old hopeless romantic teenager trope was basically pioneered by this TV show that originally came out in 1959. It followed Dobie, a lovestruck teenager who just wanted two things: a girl to love him back and enough money to impress her. Every episode, he was crushing on someone new, and it was always a mess in the funniest way possible. Also, his best friend was Maynard G. Krebs, played by a young Bob Denver, aka Gilligan, before the island. The show was quirky, ahead of its time, and low-key started the whole “teenager sitcom” trend before it was cool.
