As the general elections come up this weekend, Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has sued for peace in the state before, during and after the elections.
The governor in a state wide broadcast, noted that the state has remained united and as such, the elections should not cause disunity in any part of the state.
He charged those who are eligible to vote to go out peacefully and vote for their preferred candidates without any form of violence, saying no one should take laws into his hand.
The State helmsman promised to ensure peace reigns during the election saying as the leader, he will not do anything that will scuttle a peaceful elections.
He advised voters to call the attention of the security to anyone who may want to cause chaos or induce people with money at the polling units, calling on the police to ensure adequate security of the people.
