As we all well know by now, movies and the movie industry as a whole got put on hold due to the pandemic and shutdowns that occurred throughout 2020. However, now that we’re rolling into 2021 there are tons of previewed movies that either were scheduled for 2020 or were thought up in 2020 and will be made during 2021. This means there are so many expectations and excitable options that will be rolling into theaters and other viewing options through this year. Here are some of the most anticipated movies of 2021 to give you a better idea of what we’re talking about in saying that good movies are definitely coming soon.
Wrath of Man
Coming out in May is Wrath of Man, a perfect movie for those that specifically love Jason Statham’s characters and acting. Wrath of Man is focused around a heist and has plenty of action with the classic bad boy characteristics that Statham always seems to play in his roles. From the previews, it seems to be one that will keep you on the edge of your seat and can be pretty interesting for those that like a fair share of action and violence in their movies.
Cruella
Disney fans, Disney villain fans, and spin-off lovers have all joined together in watching closely for the arrival of Disney’s newest villain tale following Cruella. You may know Cruella from 101 Dalmations, one of Disney’s popular animated tales. But this movie takes it to a whole new level with a unique and complete backstory to what happened to this villain in live-action style. Many fans and newbies cannot wait for it, debuting in late May in theaters and on Disney Plus.

The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard
Originally The Hitman’s Bodyguard in 2017, the creators and actors are back for a second attempt at fame and at least success in the box office. This movie isn’t exactly a popular idea, but certainly has hit actors that may pull it through. If you like Ryan Renolds and/or Samuel L. Jackson you may like this new spin-off, especially if you liked The Hitman’s Bodyguard in the first place. It’ll come into theaters in June.
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway
Viewers fell in love with our childhood star Peter Rabbit in a brand new way when Peter Rabbit came out in theaters in 2018, and the storyline is planned to continue into a sequel this year. It’ll still have the well-loved characters and Peter Rabbit’s mischievous ways and the previews give us a general idea of what’s to come for the little family. Peter Rabbit 2 is coming into theaters in mid-June of this year.

F9
As expected and well anticipated by fans, Fast and Furious continues its long standing saga with the upcoming F9 this year. Starring some of the old characters with some new faces like John Cena, F9 is playing more into the world of Fast and Furious with a heavier focus on Vin Diesel’s character and family. It’s actually been pushed out so far from last year that the franchise was planning to have Furious 10 out by/around now, but fans can’t wait nonetheless.
Not only is this list plenty of incentive for many of you to keep an eye out for movies rolling into your local theaters or streaming services, this isn’t even the whole list of what big or long-awaited movies are coming out this year. It’s fair to say that 2021 is definitely looking to be a big year for the movie industry and its revenue as well as our own enjoyment of films. From Disney classics to interesting spin-offs from Marvel to sequels of your favorite films and more; it looks like no matter your taste there’s going to be at least one interesting movie out for your taste this coming year to look out for.
