D’Banj and Don Jazzy started MoHits together back in 2004 in Lagos after the two relocated from London. D’banj was reportedly taken to court over unpaid dept of over N60 million by Ojogbo with the case number LD/ADR/445/14 assigned to the hearing on Monday, the 26th of January 2015 in Obalende Lagos. This is the clear evidence that things has not been well financially with D’Banj since he parted way with Don Jazzy.
Most of the endorsement deals he reportedly signed wee merely courtesy endorsement as most of worth little or nothing. His beat by dre deal is said to be on affiliate (earn as you sale) basis which has not be lucrative.
Don Jazzy on the other hand have been signing one lucrative deals after another — ranging from N30 million to N150 million, and producing one hit songs after another and making stars in the process.
With these, it is safe to say that Don Jazzy is currently far richer than D’Banj despite D’Banj being older than Don Jazzy with almost three years.
