Nicaragua
Nicaragua is a sunny Central American country with beautiful beaches, great surfing, beautiful lakes, volcanoes and a rainforest. The oldest Spanish-colonial city in the region, Granada, is a historic town and a fantastic place to visit. Although Spanish is the main language, English is spoken widely along the Caribbean coast popular among tourists. Nicaragua’s climate is “perfect” all-year round and luxury is within reach for $1,200 to $2,000 monthly. Beers in most restaurants cost approximately $1.25, and groceries worth $300 are bound to last a month. Nicaragua has quality, affordable health care and is generally a safe place to live.
