The body of a pumpkin, in contrast to that of many other vegetables, is tender and may be carved with relative ease. When you peel back the layers, a softer and smoother texture is discovered behind the abrasive veneer. Consequently, the ease with which you carve it will be directly proportional to the level of expertise you possess.
