From Football Field to Battlefield
Who would have guessed that something that seems so innocent, like high school sports, could become the subject of conspiracy theorists? Turns out, there is a conspiracy about these after-school extracurriculars, mainly regarding the popularity of high school football.
The theorist here suggests that the great popularity of football is no coincidence. They claim that the US military has actively been encouraging high schoolers to love football for a long time. Why? The reason is that football players are prime candidates to become great soldiers once they graduate. Under that theory, the military stands to benefit greatly from football’s popularity growing, as they’ll enjoy a steady stream of able-bodied recruits each year.
