3. Try Going Here at Midnight
In the rolling hills of northern Lithuania stands a poignant testament to resilience: a hill blanketed with over 100,000 crosses. This sacred mound started in the 14th century as a symbol of Lithuanian independence, evolving into a memorial for fallen rebels after 1831.

The hill became a silent yet powerful rebel again under Soviet rule, defiantly resurrected by locals each time it was razed. Today, these crosses, dense and resolute, whisper stories of defiance and hope, clinking together in the wind like a symphony of eerie wind chimes, each one a symbol of unyielding spirit.
