Pretty in Pink co-star, Andrew McCarthy has had a very unusual career. He was an original member of the 80s brat pack and made a number of successful movies. But then switched to writing and since the 2000s McCarthy has had a second career as a travel writer for such publications as National Geographic Traveler, Travel+Leisure, The Atlantic, etc.
