We’re so used to reality shattering our expectations that we almost couldn’t believe our eyes scrolling through these photos. We’ve all been there—ordering something online or buying something at the store that turns out to be completely different from what was advertised. After so many failed experiences, we learn to lower our expectations. However, these people shared these rare moments when reality surpassed their expectations, and we couldn’t be happier for them.

This mother baked her daughter an impressive cake decorated with otters, flowers, and fish, all made out of frosting, inspired by a photo she found online.
Some people’s baking skills are truly impressive. The only thing we know how to make is an omelet, and here people are baking cakes that look like two otters swimming in a lake. While these decorated cakes never come out the way we expect, this cake turned out even better. Seriously, this mother should consider selling these cakes.
