The Little Mermaid (1989)
Ahh, good old 2-D animation. It has such a nostalgic feeling, but 80’s and 90’s kids remember this being the norm. Don’t you miss those movies sometimes? They don’t make ’em like this anymore! In 1989, during the high point of Disney animated movies, The Little Mermaid was released. No one ever would have noticed all of these inappropriate Easter eggs without, well, the pause button!
So that brings us to the next most-paused movie scene in the history of film. Of course, there’s a girl, wearing her birthday suit, in water involved. You’d think an animated Disney movie would be the last place you’d get a peep show, but in this case, when Ariel gets her legs, you’re able to see more than her legs. Back when the film was released, it wasn’t considered a big deal, but today, some parents would be furious to see a scene like this in a children’s movie.
