Aphasia Doesn’t Necessarily Mean Getting Hit In The Head
It is not necessary to sustain a blow to the head in order to suffer from some form of trauma to the brain. There are also many factors that exist within the body that have the potential to cause damage, such as a brain hemorrhage or a stroke. Dr. José Morey discussed the situation with Nicki Swift, and during their conversation, he clarified that Bruce’s aphasia does not necessarily indicate that he was struck in the head.

According to Morey, “strokes to the region” or “chronic small vessel disease” are the most likely causes of the condition. As if that weren’t enough, the doctor went on to say that aphasia can also be caused by “malignant causes” and “inflammatory” disorders. However, additional testing is required before it can be determined what has caused Bruce Willis to all of a sudden experience difficulties with his communication after having none for many years.
