In the movie “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” played by Julia Roberts, the character Julianne makes an effort to mediate the relationship between Michael and Kimmy, a couple who have a nearly ten-year age gap between each other in real life. Julianne’s goal is to bring the couple closer together. Julia Roberts portrays the role of Julianne in the film.
In the outside world, Michael and Kimmy have an almost nine-year age difference between them. Dermot Mulroney, who was 34 years old at the time the film was released, and Cameron Diaz took on the roles of Michael and Kimmy, respectively (who was 25 years old when the film was released).
