In the context of all of the horrible things that celebrities have been accused of doing to others throughout time (and especially in recent years), such a remark from Mel B doesn’t even register on my radar. I mean, if that’s true, it’s a terrible thing to do, but without knowing the situation or tone of voice that it was said in, it’s difficult to get very worked up about it.
Have I just gone too cynical and desensitized? Have I read so many awful stories about celebrities beating their romantic partners and attacking anybody within reach that when I hear Bill Murray may have said something threatening to his wife, I just roll my eyes and say, “could be worse”? Maybe we’re living in the most evil timeline.
