There was a time when people would sit down after dinner to watch TV to find titles like Flying High, AfterMash, or The Brady Bunch Variety Hour. These TV shows, among others, had a good run on our screen, but ultimately, they didn’t stand the test of time. They had their charm, but with so much content on TV, it’s hard to make a TV show that would really last. We’re here to take a look through the TV shows that seemed promising but turned out to be a flop. Do you miss any of them?

#1: My Mother the Car (1965-1966)

Only Baby Boomers might remember the quirky sitcom My Mother the Car. Starring Jerry Van Dyke as Dave Crabtree, the show follows a man who purchases a new car and finds out it’s a reincarnation of his deceased mother. Saying it now, it sounds more than a little weird, and we can see why the show didn’t take off and was canceled after only one season.
