Potatoes will stay fresh for longer if kept in a dry and cool area of your kitchen with adequate ventilation. If possible, keep the potatoes in cabinets or closets, as well as basements or garages. These are all excellent options.

Potatoes keep best at a temperature of 45°F to 55°F, and they can stay in this range for months. However, if the temperatures are higher or more humid than that, the potatoes will begin sprouting or becoming uneatable sooner.
