Pregnancy and Return
According to Ancient Egyptian beliefs, pregnant women are prohibited from being idle because doing so might harm the baby. She is not allowed to be a full-time housewife and is given healthier meals instead. When a woman is seven months pregnant, she returns home to her parents’ home.

After her baby reaches three months old, she goes back to her husband. The new mother is supposed to master the fundamentals of caring for a newborn during this time. And get this — an astrologer’s forecast determines the sequence in which it must happen.
