Graffitiing is widely regarded as a harmful practice, but circumstances like this make you wonder if it should be allowed as long as it is being used for the greater good. While we probably shouldn’t leap to that conclusion, let us acknowledge the cleverness of this performance.
This mailbox appears to have been in dire need of some sprucing until one particular graffiti artist came along and changed all that. This person felt that while the city didn’t feel it necessary to freshen up the faded paint, it would undoubtedly respond if someone posted a straightforward message like “time to paint me red again!” And there you have it: success!
