Kids had no alternative but to enjoy the outdoors when they wanted to do something fun with their friends, especially on a hot summer’s day, many years before smartphone technology, tablets, computers, video games, and satellite television arrived.
Kids in the ’50s would frequently go out into the middle of their neighborhood to play a game of baseball, such as these youngsters are doing here in this suburb.
